2011 Music and Christian Arts Institute set for June 14-17

The African Methodist Episcopal Church, Inc. will host the 2011 Music and Christian Arts Institute at Union Bethel A.M.E. Church, 2321 Thalia Street, New Orleans, La., June 14-17. The event will feature guest clinicians Dr. David Morrow, director of the Morehouse College Glee Club and president of the National Association of Negro Musicians; and Dr. Joe W. Pace II, Grammy, Dove, Stellar Award-nominated songwriter, producer, artist and author CEO/director of the award-winning Colorado Mass Choir.
Workshop topics will include classes on Praise and Worship/Blended Worship, Pastor-Musician Relationships, Music Technology to Enhance Your Music Ministry, Voice Class for Choir Members, Vocal Pedagogy and Choir Directors and Musicians, Instrumental Music, Band Clinic for Musicians, Liturgical Dance Ministry and Drama Ministry.
Registration is $100.
