36th Women’s Day at New Salem B.C.

New Salem Baptist Church, 1530 Alvar Street, New Orleans, La., will host its 36th Annual Women’s Day Celebration on Sunday, June 8, during its 10:30 a.m. worship service.

The theme for the occasion is “Christian Women Committed to the High Call of Caring and Sharing Through Missions” (Matthew 28:16-20).The guest speaker will be Caldonia S. Ceasar of St. James, Louisiana.

Nicole Bell and Valencia West are co-chairpersons for the event and the Rev. Warren Jones Jr. is pastor of New Salem Baptist Church.
