Joseph Parker is the recipient of Felix ‘Zoo’ James scholarship

Mr. Joseph Edwin Parker, a 2014 graduate of L. B. Landry/O. P. Walker High School, was recently named the first recipient of the Coach Felix “Zoo” James “Giving Something Back” college scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 from the L.B. Landry and Texas College Alumni Association (LTCAA).

The scholarship honors legendary L.B. Landry coach, athletic director and mentor Felix “Zoo” James, who helped many of his former players to earn a college education by preparing them academically, socially and athletically for the rigors of higher education.

Parker is planning to attend the University of New Orleans, where he will major in computer science.
