Ashé CAC hosts community concert honor MLK

Ashé Cultural Arts Center presents its annual Lift Every Voice and Sing Concert, a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The concert will take place on January 18 from 5-8 p.m. at Ashé (1724 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. in New Orleans).

This concert will feature African-American liberation music, as well as freedom and healing songs from the Civil Rights Era. Local artists and musicians will share their musical testimonies. Some of evening’s performers include Deacon John Moore, Sharon Martin, Topsy Chapman & Solid Harmony, Kelly Love Jones, Wendi O’Neal and Michaela Harrison, .
