Community groups offer rides to voting polls

New Orleans, LA – A Community Voice and Justice and Beyond are offering rides to the polls for voters in the Greater New Orleans area, including Covington, Mandevllle and Lacombe, La, as part of their “Rides to the Polls” campaign.

The campaign is headquartered at Fair Grinds Coffee House at 2221 St. Claude Ave. in New Orleans. Fair Grinds is also offering free refills of organic Fair Trade coffee at its two locations to anyone who voted. Voters must show the stickers given out at the polls after stepping out of the voting booth in order to redeem the offer.
