Henry Austan (left) and Milton Johnson (right) are shown being arrested by Louisiana State Police in Bogalusa following the shooting of Alton Crowe, a whithe man, on July 8, 1965, during a civil rights march. Both Austan, who shot Crowe and Johnson were members of the Deacons for Defense and Justice.
