Longtime educator, Irene Reed, dies at home

Mrs. Irene Olivia Reed, who was cash advance San Jose 95127 born in Bayou Goula, La. March 15, 1908, entered eternal rest at her home on Upperline Street, on March 22, 2013.
Mrs. Reed married the late Reverend S.G. Reed and became an active minister’s wife in the church and community at large while pursuing her career as an educator. She became the second generation of teachers in her family. She served for more than 50 years as open 24 hour payday loans a teacher and school administrator. Her services expanded many parishes in Louisiana but she retired from Jefferson Parrish after completing 30 years.
Upon retirement Mrs. Reed devoted service to the United Methodist Church becoming involved on both the local and state level.
She leaves cherishing memories to her devoted children, Dr. Joan Reed Campbell, Samuel George Reed, Jr., Grandchildren Dr. Lynn Allen Campbell, Jr., Dr. Lyle Anthony Campbell and Lauryn Arnyse Campbell; and great granddaughter Brianra A. Campbell; Daughter in Laws Carolyn Ryan Reed & Granddaughter in Law Barbara Campbell; nieces, Beverly Ann White and nephew James Jones and many great nieces and nephews and a host of relatives, friends and students.
