Greater Morning Star M.B.C. to host Health & Wellness Fair

The Greater Morning Star Mis­sionary Baptist Church, 14747 Highway 23, Belle Chasse, La., will host a Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, April 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The fair will be staffed by many local healthcare professionals and provide blood pressure screenings, glucose tolerance testing, eye examinations and numerous non-invasive health screenings at no cost, in addition to providing vital information to help residents become proactive regarding their healthcare needs. Dr. Ramesh Ayyala, MD, FRCS, Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans, La., will conduct an eye clinic on the premises. In addition there will an open discussion on the causes, diagnosis and living well with diabetes.
