The former home of WBOK 1230am once housed, in the 1970s, the studios of WNNR from which the popular and mellifluous voice of Larry McKinley broadcasted. Fifty years later, the Gentilly Boulevard building will once again have a McKinley walking through its halls. Local businesswoman and community entrepreneur, Glenda McKinley English, daughter of the legendary DJ, record producer, manager and promoter recently bought the building and is renaming it The McKinley Building.
