VA to re-open some clinics post-Isaac:
– Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) will reopen the following clinics Friday for regular operating hours:
· Baton Rouge VA Outpatient Clinic
· Houma VA Outpatient Clinic
· New Orleans VA Outpatient Clinic
· Slidell VA Outpatient Clinic
– At this time, the following community-based outpatient clinic will remain closed until Tuesday:
· Bogalusa VA Outpatient Clinic
· Franklin VA Outpatient Clinic
· Hammond VA Outpatient Clinic
· Mandeville Dental Clinic
· Metairie Dental Clinic
· Mental Health Outpatient Clinic (3500, 3434 & 3426 Canal, New Orleans; mental health services will be located at 1601 Perdido Street)
· St. John VA Outpatient Clinic
Patients should keep records of any missed appointments for follow-up visits, lab work and specialty care services. Once the clinics reopen and a patient return to the area, they should reschedule any missed appointments by calling 1-800-935-8387.
