N.O. Alumnae Chapter of Deltas host 52nd Cotillion

“Delta Goes to Mardi Gras” was the theme of the annual pageantry of the local Delta Sigma Theta Chapter held on December 10 of last year. The evening, as expressed by the New Orleans Alumna Chapter president Cheyra Head Jenkins perfectly combined “one of this chapter’s signature programs” with one of the Crescent City’s “signature celebrations.”

Reining as queen of the 52nd Annual Debutante Cotillion was Miss Kiara McClue, daughter of Dr. Michelle T. Brumfield and the late Mr. Earvin McClue, Sr.

The 2016 Princesses Royale were Misses Alicia Hoey, daughter of Reverend and Mrs. David L. Hoey; Jordyn Cosey, daughter of Mr. Freddie Deane Cosey Sr. and Dr. Arnel Cosey; Taylor Crayton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lerone Crayton and Courtney Andry, the daughter of Mr. Channing Appleberry and great niece of Elaine Appleberry.

Princesses were Misses Annecia Gibson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Lora Gibson, Sr. and Deja Hansell, daughter of Mr. Arid C. Hansell and Ms. Churita H. Hansell.

Also making their debut that evening were Misses Kira Bickham, daughter of Mrs. Joyce Bickham; Alyssa Brown, daughter of Mr. Maurice and Dr. Carmen Brown; Dominique Cage, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Montreal Cage Sr., Taylor Conaler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delius Conaler Sr.; Arielle Dixon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darren Dixon; Mayah Hughes, daughter of Mr. Marlon Linsey Hughes and granddaughter of Sandra White Hughes; Tori Luster, daughter of Mr. Brian Luster and Ms. Yvette Luster; Jasmine Pratt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rockey G. Pratt Sr.; Amari Russell, daughter of Mr. Bennie Kevin Russell and Dr. Candance Adams Russell and Alexis Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Al W. Eden.

Delta Bridgette Frick served as Chairperson of the annual event with Deltas Mary Green-Keys and Tracey L. Rollins, as vice chairpersons.
