St. Mary’s Academy hosts Annual Debutante Ball

St. Mary’s Academy’s recently held its 52nd Annual Debutante Ball in which members of the Class of 2011 were, in the spirit of tradition, “officially introduced to society,” to the theme, “Spectacular Leading Ladies.”

Reigning as queen of this year’s pageantry was Miss Allyson Lee Brown, daughter of Mr. Dolhman Brown and Ms. Cheryl Ross Brown of New Orleans, LA.

A student at St. Mary’s Academy since the sixth grade, Miss Brown serves as Vice President of the Kiwanis Club of Pontchartrain Key Club, Co-Editor of the yearbook, Vice President of the Pre-Alumnae and Co-Captain of the SMA Cougarette Dance Team.. She has been named a Louisiana Department of Education Trailblazer, nominated twice to People to People Leadership and is a member of the National Honor Society.
