‘The ‘Roland Martin Show’ debuts in 20 U.S. markets

Award-winning journalist and “News One Now” host Roland Martin announced last week the check and cashing store formation of a new partnership between his media company, Nu Vision Media, and the Empowerment Radio Network to launch a new syndicated daily radio show. “The Roland Martin Show” will cover pop-culture, entertainment, breaking news and politics, and premiered last Monday. It will air from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. CST in 20 U.S.markets.

The new show allows Martin and Nu Vision Media to expand the company’s share of the broadcasting market. TVOne recently announced that “NewsOne Now” — the trailblazing news show that covers News, sports and culture from a Black perspective — has ended 2014 as the 40 000 dollar personal loan top-ranked cable news show in its time slot among African-American viewers. Among cable and broadcast networks, “NewsOne Now” finished second only to NBC’s “Today” in capturing Black viewers.
December 2014 was “NewsOne Now’s” best month ever, since premiering in November 4, 2013.
Martin was brimming with confidence and excitement as he launched the new show last week.
