Walter L. Cohen to host 2011 Homecoming activities

“Surmounting the past… Soaring into the future” is the theme for Walter L. Cohen’s 2011 Homecoming activities, which include the Hornets of Cohen taking to the gridiron against the George Washington Carver Rams on Friday, November 4, at 3:30 p.m. in the Pan American Stadium.

Reigning as Miss Cohen is Miss De’Andriel Brazile, daughter of Karen P. Brazile . Scholar athlete, Miss Brazile is a member of the girl’s basketball team. Additionally, she is a member of the Visual and Talented Arts Program. Miss Brazile plans to attend the University of Austin and pursue a sports medicine career.

Her attendants are Jasmin Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Moran, Miss Senior; Zarionne Goins, daughter of Ms. Glenda Goins and the late Kevin Matthews, Miss Junior; Ra’Shaunda LaRouche, the daughter of Ms. Katie LaRouche and William Shepherd, Miss Sophomore.

Male attendants are Lenard Drewry, son of Lenard and Danielle Drewry; Brian Parker, son of Mr. Brian Parker and Ms. LeKisha Reese; Melvin Butler, son of Darlene Butler, Mr. Junior; Frederick Badon, son of Stacey Badon and Ontrell Badon; Mr. Sophomore.

Varsity representatives are Lamont Massey, son of Laticha Massey, Mr. Varsity; Kierra Jackson daughter of Ms. Pamela Jackson and Mr. Daniel Jackson, Miss Varsity.

Mr. Alfred Jones is Walter L. Cohen’s principal; Mrs. Susan Moore Assistant Principal. Homecoming Chairpersons are Gloria Lee and Erica Peyton.
