YMI hosts 83rd Annual Carnival Ball

For its 83rd Annual Carnival Ball, The Young Men Illinois Club chose to go around the world to “Review The World Of Dance,” theme of this year’s pageantry.
Taking center stage that evening was Miss Zoie Elizabeth Legeaux, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony A. Legeaux, II, who reigns as the 2019 Queen of YMI.
The queen wore a custom medici collar and crystal encrusted midnight blue velvet train with star detail by D&D Creations. Her golden crown and matching scepter were created by dynasty collection. The queen’s gown was a white satin a-line embellished by Jackie Forest with hand beaded net lace, sequins, seed pearls and rhinestones.
Making their debut with the organization were Misses Ko’rea Vennese Barre’, daughter of Ms. Keisha M. White and Mr. Corey M. Barre; Camryn Dechele Mccoy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Comadore; Summer Indigo Perkins, Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charleston Perkins; Kandyce Nicolle Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Williams; and Paige Jordan Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Michael Wilson.
Princesses in the court were young Misses Ava Rose Robertson, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Corey Robertson; Madison Olivia Robinson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brach Robinson and Jasmine Mariah Williams, daughter of Ms. Chantell Washington and Mr. Hasson Williams.
Serving as pages to the queen were Christian Noah Legeaux, son of Ms. Tiffany Legeaux; Maddyn Christina Peck, daughter of Ms. Brandi Barre and Mr. Brandon Peck; Allison Cecilia Raymond, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Atari Raymond, Sr.; Gian Laje Durand and Jonathan Paul Rutherford, the daughter and son of Ms. Gian Laje Durand and Mr. Jonathan Rutherford, Sr.
Mr. Clinton Smith is president of The Young Men Illinois.
Wayne Preyan serves as vice president with William D. Aaron, Jr. as financial secretary; the Honorable Omar K. Mason as recording secretary and Cardell Ross as treasurer.
Also Messrs. Lawrence R. Robinson is Director Of Social Affairs; John R. Murchison is Assistant Director of Social Affairs; Emile Bagneris is Sergeant-At-Arms, Milton M. Brown is chaplain. Parliamentarian Is Magistrate Marion D. Floyd; Keeper Of Records and Seals is Dr. John Wilson and Ronald Vigee is Director of Publicity.
